Brief Biography:

Brandon J. Hirsch joined Collins, Liu & Associates in the summer of 2009 after returning to Colorado from Michigan.  Mr. Hirsch practices in the areas of family law, criminal law, civil petitions to seal record, and criminal appeals.  Brandon focuses his practice on DUIs, domestic violence, assaults, and drug crimes.  Brandon firmly believes that representation is more than just preparing for trial, but also includes meticulously and  methodically  assisting clients throughout the judicial process, including effective negotiations with opposing counsel, thorough investigations of all facts and allegations, and regular correspondence with clients.

Mr. Hirsch has handled a variety of misdemeanors and felonies up through trial.  His trial experiences have included charges ranging from animal cruelty and menacing up to an attempted first degree murder.  Brandon recognizes that any criminal charge, regardless of the level of the offense, is a frightening and unnerving experience for clients.  Brandon focuses on alleviating as much of that stress as possible, by regularly corresponding with clients, as well as always being forthright and honest.

Mr. Hirsch has been a resident of Colorado since childhood, living the majority of his life in the small mountain town of Gunnison, Colorado.  Brandon attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, receiving his Juris Doctorate in May 2008.  While in law school, Brandon was a member of the legal fraternity Phi Delta Phi, a representative in Student Council, and participated regularly in mock trial.  Additionally, Brandon interned at Legal Services of South Central Michigan providing legal assistance to low income families in a variety of areas, including family law and bankruptcy.

Prior to law school, Mr. Hirsch attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, graduating in 2003 with Bachelors of Arts in Speech Communication, along with a minor in legal studies. While at U.N.C., Brandon was heavily involved with the Disability Access Center, was a representative in student government, campaigned for student rights, and co-authored the University’s Grade Forgiveness Policy.
